Other finalists are BUPA, Westpac, ING Direct, Citi Australia. The Australian HR awards are the highlight of the HR industry calendar and over 650 industry leaders will attend the awards ceremony on October 26th. Earlier this year TMB achieved bronze status in the international Corporate Responsibility Index (CRI), published in the list of 110 winners in the London Financial Times. The CRI is a leading business benchmark, and provides a systematic approach to managing, measuring and reporting on responsible business practice. “To be awarded bronze status in the CR Index as a relatively small financial institution, means that we’re punching above our weight internationally on sustainability,” said Steve James, CEO of Teachers Mutual Bank. Also this year,the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency in Australia again recognised TMB as an Employer of Choice for Women in 2012 for the fifth year running.
