The 12 recent recipients include a range of projects; Water - let’s not waste it, let's just save it! Multicultural food garden sustainability project Pizza patches - herb and vegetable terrarium garden Year 7 global education projects In the last 12 months we have given $59,000 to 25 schools with 19,000 school children and 1,458 teachers. Since launching in March 2008 we have provided grants to over 100 schools with $312,000. On average the grants have touched 103 schools with 5,800 teachers and 75,000 pupils. “Through the Teachers Environment Fund we are helping teachers ping life to their sustainability projects. We want to support programs that give teachers practical ways to embed sustainability into students’ thinking – and hopefully have some fun along the way!” says Steve James, CEO of Teachers Mutual Bank.
