Applications are now open for the Teachers Environment Fund 2015! The Teachers Environment Fund was launched to assist schools,TAFEs and CITs to help make environmental projects a reality. Each year there are two rounds of up to $2,000 granted to projects demonstrating environmental benefits and a passion for teaching sustainability. We’re commitment to investing in a better tomorrow and in 2014 the Teachers Environment Fund contributed $56,783 to bring sustainable projects to life in 36 schools. Since the program launched in 2008 we’ve provided grants of $370,000 to 141 schools with a total of 7,400 teachers and 87,000 students. "We believe teaching sustainability is as important as practising it. The more our next generation know how to look after the world now, the more we can all look forward to later. Through this programme, we are helping teachers bring their sustainability projects to life." said Teachers Mutual Bank CEO Steve James. Applicants must be a member of Teachers Mutual Bank and apply behalf of your school/college/CIT. Round one grants open 26th January and close 10th April 2015.
